Meet Our Team
The WHO Team Tracie - Office Manager/Treatment Coordinator Tracie joined the WingHaven® Orthodontics Team in November of 2005, giving her the distinguished honor of having been with the practice longer than any other Staff Member of the Team. In 1987, Tracie graduated from Brian Institute in Chairside Dental Assisting. After graduating, she promptly began working in general dentistry. In the years that followed, Tracie had administrative and clinical duties and also had the opportunity to work in a specialty practice, where she gained experience in endodontics, oral & maxillofacial surgery, orthodontics, pedodontics, and periodontics. Thus, she brings to the office her multifaceted expertise in all aspects of a dental office.Tracie began her career in Orthodontics in 1999 and earned her certification as an Expanded Functions Orthodontic Assistant in 2005. She also has specialty training in business administration. When Tracie's not at the office, she enjoys spending time with her family, cooking, and reading novels. Sam - Records/Lab Technician Always with a smile and a bubbly personality, Sam joined the WingHaven® Orthodontics Team in August of 2007. She began her career in the dental field in 1999 at Keller Dental Lab as a dental technician, and eventually became a Supervisor. In 2006, she moved to Ordont Orthodontics Lab, where she learned to fabricate orthodontic appliances.Outside the office, Sam enjoys spending time with her family and exploring her artistic computer creativity. Jennifer - Lead Orthodontic Assistant Exceptionally knowledgeable, Jennifer joined the WingHaven® Orthodontics Team in December of 2007. She began working in general dentistry in 1999 and earned her certification in Basic Skills and Expanded Functions for Restorative I and II in 2005. Jennifer has specialty training in Hygiene and Full Mouth Restoration, training that has transferred well to orthodontics. In June of 2008, she achieved her certification as an Expanded Functions Orthodontic Assistant.When not at the practice, Jennifer spends time with her family and playing her upright bass. Linda - Orthodontic Assistant Possessing a fun, upbeat personality, Linda joined the WingHaven® Orthodontics Team in April of 2009. With an interest in orthodontics, Linda graduated from Missouri College with a 4.0 GPA and has her Certified Dental Assisting credentials. Additionally, in October of 2009, she achieved her certification as an Expanded Functions Orthodontic Assistant.In her free time, Linda loves to play volleyball and to participate in outdoor activities with friends and family. Valarie - Scheduling/Financial Coordinator When you call our office, Valarie will often be the first person with whom you speak. The newest member of our Team, Valarie joined WingHaven® Orthodontics in October of 2009, after completing her education in Dental Assisting. With a caring and calming personality, Valarie has been a terrific addition to the WHO Team, and we are thrilled to have her on board. Marty - IT/Networking Expert Originally from Northern California, Marty earned his Bachelor of Science degree in Aeronautical Engineering from the University of California at Davis, in 1991. He has also studied or minored in Math, Psychology, Computer Science and Marine Biology. After graduation, Marty worked for six years as a System and Product Safety Engineer in California. He has taught and tutored a variety of subjects from Linear Algebra through Shakespeare. Marty also has many years of experience in live theater, performing stagecraft, lighting, and sound.With a wonderful sense of humor, Marty currently keeps the network running smoothly, the pictures hung straight, and the artwork and ads flowing. When not at the office, he can typically be found flying remote control airplanes. He also likes playing board games, listening to music, and spending time with his fiancée. Bracket – Team Mascot When you visit our office, please say "Hello" to our Team Mascot, Bracket the betta fish. Bracket has a happy-go-lucky personality and especially likes patients with clean teeth. He loves to be the center of attention, so feel free to talk to him. And please remember that Bracket prefers his tank glass to stay clean and without fingerprints, so he can see you better.
